Rob Calise Speaks on the Rise of Self-Funding
In a recent issue of Becker’s Hospital Review, Cornerstone Group principal Robert Calise was quoted in an
article about the increasing use of self-funded health plans, particularly for
small- to mid-sized businesses.
"There has been a trend over the past decade of small to midsize employers
moving toward self-funding, but we are seeing this now more than ever," said Calise. "Since healthcare reform, smaller companies under 200 employees have shown an
increased interest in self-funding, which offers more control over the dynamics
of the plan."
